Thanks for visiting the Tyngsborough Elementary School website. Everyone at TES understands that our mission is to educate the whole child and provide each child a solid foundation so that they will be successful in the future. The school strives for each individual student to reach his/her fullest potential. Our curriculum is based upon the Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks and is designed to build a strong foundation of the basic skills while challenging the students to think critically about the world around them.


SEPAC Meeting - February 1, 2012 sticky icon

The next meeting of the Tyngsborough Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) is Wed., Feb. 1, 2012 at 6:00pm in the 2nd Floor Library at Tyngsborough Elementary School, 205 Westford Rd., Tyngsborough, MA. This will be a regular meeting of the Tyngsborough SEPAC and will include an account update from Joe Messina. Following the business portion of the meeting (6-6:30), Dianna Fulreader, TES Assistant Principal & Beth Nolan-Stack, Behavior Specialist will present on "Social Thinking".  Social thinking is what we do when we interact with people: we think about them. And how we think about people affects how we behave toward them, which in turn affects how others respond to us, which in turn affects our own emotions.

Assistant Superintendent's Notes, January 27, 2012

Forming and maintaining strong partnerships between schools and families are essential to a student's success.  Your role in this partnership is to stay up to date and informed on your child's/student's progress in all areas of the curriculum, social emotional development and peer relationships.  Attending parent teacher conferences and other school sponsored events allow you to become more familiar with your schools and staff members.  Reach out to teachers and administrators with your questions, concerns, or for feedback on how to best support your child's success.

SEPAC Workshop - January 4, 2012

Please join the Tyngsborough SEPAC on Wed., January 4, 2012 at 6:00pm. We will be hosting a workshop by Family TIES (http://www.massfamilyties.org/) entitled "Let’s Get Organized". If you are interested in learning organizational skills and getting hands on experience withdifferent organizational methods, please join Family TIES for this interactive workshop for families of children of all ages with special needs. Family TIES staff will:
• Share effective strategies for parents to organize information and manage paperwork,
• Provide general ideas on "keeping it together,
• Offer tips for developing community connections for your child, and

Winter After School Enrichment Programs

The Early Winter After School Enrichment Program brochure is currently available.  This winter we will be offering Yoga, American Sign Language and Drama.  The brochure and registration form are attached below. Registrations are due January 4th with programs to begin on January 9th.

Upper Elementary School Ski Program

The Tyngsborough Elementary School will be offering a five-week ski program to the students in our Upper Elementary School (Grades 3-5).The program is a five-week program, beginning on Friday, January 6th and ending on Friday, February 3rd. The program will take place at Nashoba Valley Ski Area. Bus transportation is one way; we will transport to the mountain. There will be no transportation back to school.   The students will leave school at 3:15 and arrive at Nashoba Valley Ski Area at 3:45. The program ends at 7:00 p.m.  Rental Equipment Pre-Fit is scheduled for Thursday December 15th, 3:15-4:15 at TES.To register please complete the atttached registration form.

SEPAC - Shonda Schilling Appearance Rescheduled to January 11, 2012

We have rescheduled our much-anticipated appearance by Shonda Schilling for Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 6pm at the Tyngsborough Elementary School 2nd Floor Library. Please contact Julie Williams julietyn@comcast.net to RSVP and be entered to win a copy of Shonda's book "The Best Kind of Different".  Please note, this meeting is in addition to our regular meeting/presentation on January 4, 2012 from Familly TIES, "Let's Get Organized".

TES Homework Club (Upper Elementary School)

Need extra help and a structured place and time to complete homework?  Join the afterschool Homework Club on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of each week. Students can participate one day a week,  two days a week, or all three days. 

Who: Students in Grades 3-5

When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays 3:15-4:30

          December 13th - February 9th

Cost: $5.00 per day or $100.00 for all days in the 8 week program.
